Activ eBook Compiler & ClickBank - How To Sell eBook Passwords

Activ eBook Compiler & ClickBank - How To Sell eBook Passwords

This tutorial shows you, step-by-step, how to set up a sales site using ClickBank so that a customer can download a trial or feature limited version of your eBook, and pay later to get a password for full access.

  1. ClickBank may change their procedures from time-to-time. We do not have control over their procedures, so this is a general guide based on our experience. Please check their site for current information.

  2. If you prefer an off-the-shelf ready-to-use solution for selling passwords or downloads - some of which offer additional security as compared to the simple solution offered in this tutorial - please review this list of eCommerce Products. If this entire procedure is new to you, I would suggest that on your first attempt you practice using just 1 password in your eBook, and as you build up more confidence, you can repeat the procedure for eBooks containing multiple passwords.

You may like to print each page out, and keep the print-out close to hand, while you work through the procedures outlined.

You do not need to be familiar with CGI or web server programming to follow this tutorial. However if you are familiar with CGI programming you can easily create a much more sophisticated system (with less duplication of information), by dynamically generating your Sales and Thank You pages. We will mention this in passing during the tutorial, but as this is intended as a beginner's tutorial, we'll leave the actual coding of a CGI/PHP/ASP based version, as an exercise for those expert readers who wish to develop such a system.

Advanced readers who wish to explore CGI/PHP/ASP topics should read this tutorial first, then visit the following links:
